War Lessons

Lessons We Can Learn from Wars in the Book of Mormon:

  1. The value of freedom
  2. God's role in preserving freedom
  3. Moral justifications for waging war to uphold freedom
  4. Moral limitations on bloodshed
  5. For freedom's sake
  6. God can and will deliver those who trust in him and go forth in the strength of the Lord
  7. We need to defend our families: "Ye shall defend your families even unto bloodshed." (Alma 43:47)
  8. We need to defend ourselves, our lands, country, rights, and religion." (Alma 43:47)
